Leicester boss closes in on Wednesday takeover
The chairman of Leicester City Football Club is poised to reach a deal over the takeover of troubled Sheffield Wednesday. A spokesperson for the Sheffield club told Insider that both parties “hope to reach a positive conclusion by the weekend”. He confirmed that talks between Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric and Sheffield Wednesday bosses were “ongoing”, but said that the situation at Sheffield was “complex”.

Historic site to make a splash at auction
A historic swimming baths in New Basford will go to auction next month. The Noel Street teaching pool, to be sold by Nottingham property agent Heb, has a guide price of £175,000 to £190,000.

CDG cooks up iConic design

£2m sports centre shapes up
