Abacus lands Chinese airport deal
Abacus Lighting, based in Nottinghamshire, has won a contract to illuminate a new airport in China. Abacus will provide lighting for Kunming New International Airport, which is set to be the country's main hub for flights in and out of South East Asia. The creation of the airport is one of the largest construction projects currently underway in China.

Lifestyle Living enters Kent market
Lifestyle Living Group, which owns holiday and residential parks in Lincolnshire, has bought Saddlebrook Park on the Isle of Sheppey. The site is the company’s first in Kent and its ninth acquisition since the start of 2010.

East Mids SPAR stores up for sale
Seven East Midlands SPAR stores from the estates of A F Blakemore and Son and Capper & Co are up for sale. The stores, in Bakewell, Chesterfield, Leicester, Mackworth, Mansfield, Nottingham and Nuthall, are being marketed by Christie + Co.

Mental health charity Alzheimer's Society has relocated its Leicester office to the LE3 business park on the outskirts of the city.
