Exclusive – Cedar House aims to kickstart Waterside
Cedar House Investments is to submit plans in the new year for a major mixed-use development, which it hopes will kickstart phase one of the Waterside regeneration zone in Nottingham. Insider has learnt the developer is looking to deliver offices and shops at the Eastpoint Business Park on Daleside Road site, anchored by a major food retailer. Peter Gadsby, chairman of Cedar House Investments, said: “We’re aiming to submit an application immediately in the new year, when we believe this will complement and kick off the Waterside generation area.” He added that Cedar House was in discussions with Nottingham Regeneration and the local planning authority. Gadsby also revealed that Nottingham City Council was in talks with Miller Birch – of which he is also the chairman – about replicating the success of its NG2 business park in other areas of the city. Phase one of Eastpoint extends to five acres and will accommodate 85,000 sq ft. This will be the first development within the Waterside Regeneration Area.
