Monumental nod for East Midlands technology
Six technology companies headquartered in the East Midlands have made the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 list. The highest placing regional business was Nottingham-based Monumental Games, which entered the chart for the first time at number six. Paul Mayze, chief operating officer at Monumental Games, told Insider that Nottingham’s funding agencies and local councils have “done a lot to support the industry”.

Bonsers builds on The Lodge
Bonsers, the restoration specialist based in Nottingham, has completed renovation work on the grade II listed building The Lodge at Provident Works, Newdigate Street. The building will provide office space for small and medium sized businesses.

Nottingham-based earthing, grounding and lightning protection consultants, FM Sudafix Group, has taken a 1,773 sq ft unit at William Davis’s Eastwood Link Office Park. The new site will officially open in October.

East Midlands firms have “a degree of optimism” about their own commercial future despite major concerns about the prospects for the UK economy. That’s according to a report by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) at the University of Leicester.

De Montfort to host international conference
