TTG sets out acquisition trail
Derby communications business Team Telecom Group (TTG) has bought IT consultancy C&C Technology – its first acquisition since a £32.8m management buyout backed by Gresham Private Equity and HSBC in May 2010. Mike Norfield, chief executive of TTG, confirmed to Insider that the company had "two or three" more targets in the pipeline.

Sterling Capital enters WLB joint venture
Commercial finance brokerage Sterling Capital Reserve has announced a partnership with Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank (WLB). Nottingham-based Sterling said the new venture would offer an alternative lending option for businesses in the region.

University plans £30m doctor school
The University of Leicester has unveiled plans for a £30m training facility for doctors being taught in the city. The Medical Teaching Building will comprise teaching rooms and computer laboratories and will become one of the most energy efficient buildings of its kind in the UK, said the university.

Wildgoose completes theatre scheme
Derbyshire-based Wildgoose Construction has completed work on a £2.7m project to rebuild a school theatre. Derby-based architect Matthew Montague also worked on the 400 Hall theatre complex at Repton School.
