Future of Corby solar park 'undecided'
Corby’s bid to house the UK’s first industrial sized solar park could be thwarted by a similar project in Cornwall, Insider has learnt. Daniel Polak, from developer BeLa Partnerships, said that plans for a 25-acre eco park within the region’s Priors Hall Park were still in “very early stages” and added that “a decision has not been made”.

Xtratherm buys £12m hub
Xtratherm, the manufacturer of insulation products, has announced it is to acquire its main manufacturing and distribution centre in the UK at Holmewood, Chesterfield. The company received about £12m of funding from Santander Corporate Banking to close the deal.

No-show for East Midlands LEPs on 'success list'
Just two bids to form Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in the East Midlands have appeared on a 'success list' reportedly leaked from Whitehall. While bids from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Councils alongside Nottingham and Derby district councils and Leicester & Leicestershire earned a spot on the list, proposals from Northamptonshire, South East Midlands and Greater Lincolnshire appear to have been omitted.
