N+1 Brewin has opened for business in Leeds with a team of six advisers. Director Richard Lindley joined the business consultancy from Rothschild a week ago.

N+1 Brewin was formed following the acquisition of the Brewin Corporate Advisory and Broking division by N+1 and the management team, from Brewin Dolphin Holdings.

In addition to Lindley, the Leeds team, which is to focus on corporate advisory and broking sevices with an M&A focus, includes Luke Boyce, who joined from Rothschild Sydney last year; James White, ex-KPMG Leeds and Joe Stroud.

"There is an incredible amount of uncertainty in the broking world," said Lindley.

"We have an incredibly supportive parent that believes in the business and the people."

N+1 and the N+1 Brewin management team have invested a total of £5m of capital in the business. Following completion, N+1 holds a 65 per cent stake in the new company with the team owning 21 per cent. Brewin Dolphin has retained an interest in the partnership with a holding of 14 per cent.
