Velocity Estates to invest £400,000 in portfolio
Developer Velocity Estates is investing £400,000 into developing buildings along the lines of its business centre model across its Sheffield commercial property portfolio. Work will be carried out at properties including S1 St James House and the Grade II-listed Globe Works Business Centre.
The refurbishment programme, which is due to be completed by early 2011, follows the success of the developer’s Velocity House Business Centre. It will involve investment into new reception and greeting areas, meeting rooms, visitor facilities and car parks in the style of Velocity House.
The next developments to be upgraded are the Globe 11 Business Centre, Townhead House in Vicar Lane and St Silas House.
“The business centre concept has ensured the success of our new commercial space at Velocity House and has resulted in the securing of a wide range of tenants from long-established Sheffield businesses to new start-up companies,” said Lee Smith, director of Velocity Estates.
