Virgin to create 250 Swansea jobs

Share | |

Virgin Media is to create about 250 jobs in Swansea as it looks to meet demand for its TiVo TV product and broadband service.

The company is to create 650 jobs across the UK with the majority to be based in Swansea and Manchester. Call centre roles account for 500 of the jobs.

Paul Buttery, chief customer and networks officer, said: "The new jobs that we've announced will ensure we're meeting the increasing demand for our next generation digital products and will help our customers get the kind of service they expect from a Virgin company.

"This investment will benefit a number of communities across the country and we’re particularly proud that we're able to provide so many young people with a much needed start in these challenging economic times."
