Eriez expands in Caerphilly
Eriez Magnetics Europe has acquired a 19,000 sq ft building located next door to its premises in Caerphilly, South Wales.
Eriez said the space was required to meet increased orders and has given it the opportunity to expand while keeping its manufacturing at one location. The company plans to begin manufacturing in the new building in April 2012.
This extra space will also allow for logistical improvements at the current site, Eriez said.
“Despite the difficult economic climate, we have been able to continually increase our manufacturing output," said Paul Fears, managing director at Eriez Europe.
"To facilitate this growth, it was imperative that we expanded our facility. We have received fantastic support from our headquarters in Erie, US, and this is a clear statement that competitive and successful manufacturing in the UK is a reality.”
Eriez Magnetics designs and manufactures magnetic equipment for use in industries such as recycling, mineral processing and mining.
