New appointments at SuperGroup
Clothing retailer SuperGroup has announced a number of new board appointments.
The Cheltenham-based business has appointed Susanne Given in the newly-created role of chief operating officer. She has more than 20 years' experience in the retail industry.
Given was formerly managing director of TK Maxx (UK and Ireland) and most recently she was director of fashion and beauty at John Lewis Partnership.
Shaun Wills has also been appointed as chief financial officer. He was previously chief operating officer at Habitat, and prior to this he was finance director at Fat Face and held a number of finance roles at New Look.
Group finance director Chas Howes will stand down from the board in April for personal reasons. He will remain with the company.
Chairman Peter Bamford said: "I am delighted to welcome Susanne and Shaun to the Group. They bring a wealth of branded retail expertise to the management team.
"Susanne's appointment will allow Julian Dunkerton the space and time to focus on the development of the Superdry brand and our product.
"I look forward to working with both Susanne and Shaun and on behalf of all at SuperGroup I would like to express thanks to Chas for his total commitment and, in particular, his crucial role in taking the group through its transition into a public company."
SuperGroup has 76 UK standalone stores and 74 concessions. The company reported revenue of £102.5m for the three months to 29 January 2012, an increase of 25 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year.
