Rowland's rescued from administration
Administrators have sold Wiltshire-based Rowland’s Clothing to Rosemex Trading, a consortium including New World Private Equity Partners.
Joff Pope and Rob Croxen of KPMG were appointed joint administrators of the clothing retailer on 9 February, and immediately agreed a sale to Rosemex, led by New World and new chairman Stewart Cantley.
Rowland's is a women's fashion retailer targeting the over 50s which operates through a mail order business and seven retail outlets across the south of England.
The deal secured the ongoing trading of the company and all 72 staff have transferred to Rosemex.
"Over the last 25 years Rowland’s has built a solid multi channel retail business targeted at the over 50s female clothing and accessory market," said Cantley. "With this foundation, a great management team and the market opportunity I am confident of our future growth and success."
Joint administrator Pope added: "The sale of the business has enabled us to safeguard jobs and provide continuity of supply to the customer base of the company."
Rowland's head office is located in Trowbridge and it operates stores in Bath, Bradford on Avon, Chichester, Farnham, Lymington, Marlborough and Salisbury.
