Compass completes DORA deal
Compass Group, based in Uxbridge, has completed its acquisition of foodservices provider DORA Gastro.
DORA, based in the Czech Republic, was purchased through food supplier Compass' subsidiary Eurest for an undisclosed sum.
It was bought from DORA Group and completed this week after gaining approval from the Office for the Protection of Competition in the Czech Republic.
For the year ending 31 December 2010, DORA Gastro generated revenue of CZK 446.1m (c.£15.1m) and had gross assets of CZK 178.2m (c.£6.0m).
The acquisition is Compass's second in as many months as it bought Supercare Services Group, a South Africa-based cleaning company, in November 2011.
Compass Group specialises in food and support services and generated annual revenues of £15.8bn in the year to 30 September 2011. It operates in about 50 countries, employs more than 470,000 people and serves over 4 billion meals every year.
