Recruitment gap filled in Bristol
Industrial recruitment agency Gap Personnel has expanded with the opening of an office in Bristol.
Gap – said to be the UK's eighth largest industrial labour provider – already operates branches in Gloucester, Exeter, Newton Abbot and Plymouth and has now opened up on Victoria Street, Bristol.
The agency said it was now planning on employing up to ten recruitment and administration staff at its Bristol branch in the coming months.
South West regional director Richard Thorne said: “These are hugely exciting times for Bristol, with the Co-operative Group’s new £20m regional distribution centre due to open in Avonmouth, and the Temple Quarter enterprise zone on the way.
"Developments such as this mean Bristol and its job market are well placed to bounce back from a tough couple of years. Gap wants to be a part of the city’s renaissance."
Gap Personnel supplies temporary workers to comapnies in sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, waste management, recycling and food production.
Current clients in the Bristol area include Warburtons, wholesaler Palmer & Harvey and express parcel delivery firm DPD.
Group turnover in 2011 was £60m and revenues are forecast to hit £75m in 2012.
