Crowdcube funding site expands
Exeter-based Crowdcube has launched an affiliate scheme offering small business services providers their own crowdsourcing service.
Crowdcube said it would manage the product as a co-branded portal at no cost to affiliate businesses.
Crowdcube claims to have the first crowdfunding website in the world that allows members of public to invest and receive shares in UK-based companies that register on the site to raise finance.
It recently said it had raised £300,000 on its own website to fund its future development.
Darren Westlake, co-founder and chief executive of Crowdcube, said: "Since our launch nearly a year ago, Crowdcube has gone from strength to strength and our affiliate programme marks another significant milestone on our journey so far."
Pegasus Funding, a specialist funding business for all types of business, has signed up to the programme.
Peter Kelly, partner at Pegasus, said: "Crowdcube is revolutionising access to equity investment and we're delighted to be able to offer our clients such an innovative solution to a difficult challenge."
