Bank funds AJW Recruitment launch
South West businesswoman Amanda Wheeler has opened her first company, AJW Recruitment, in Marlborough. Wheeler launched the business after securing a £30,000 funding package.
Wheeler worked in recruitment for ten years before deciding to set up on her own company.
Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance provided Wheeler with a £30,000 start-up package to launch AJW Recruitment. The package included factoring and payroll finance, aimed to help the company pay its staff without restricting its cashflow.
Wheeler said: "Originally, I was only planning on dealing with permanent placements due to cashflow restrictions but, after meeting with Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance’s specialist recruitment finance team, I realised I could deal in both temporary and permanent jobs with the help of payroll finance.
"As AJW Recruitment grows, the payroll finance solution will assist me in carrying out the administration work and ensure our temps are always paid on time."
