Renishaw confirmed for trade debate

Share | |

Rhydian Pountney of Gloucestershire-based engineering giant Renishaw is now confirmed for Insider’s international trade event next week.

Pountney is the company's general manager for rest-of-world sales and is responsible for business development in ten of Renishaw’s overseas subsidiary operations.

Confirmation of Pountney's participation comes after speakers from Aardman Animations and Westaways, the specialist sausage maker, were confirmed earlier this week.

The breakfast event, which is free to attend, takes place at Leigh Court, near Bristol, from 7.30am on Thursday 12 May.

Alongside Pountney, Charles Baughan, managing director of Westaways, and Aardman’s head of sales Alix Wiseman will be giving their perspectives on the risks and rewards associated with trading overseas. All three companies are active in a large number of countries.

Part of the focus of the event is on opportunities in emerging markets like China and India, but the session is also a chance to hear from a range of experts on every aspect of international trade. Our first-class panel also includes Simon Bird, chief executive of The Bristol Port Company, Nigel Scott from Lloyds, Andy Bates of Enterprise Europe Network, Ken Almand from Mazars and Paul Killen of Osborne Clarke.
