IT and telecoms recruitment company E-Resourcing, based in Surrey, has acquired a London rival.

The company has bought specialist SAP consulting business Williams McKinley in a bid to grow its UK base.

E-Resourcing, which specialises in the provision of contract and permanent IT and telecoms staffing services in the UK and Europe, is jointly owned and run by directors Jon Tyler, Alison Page and Kevin Thorn.

Tyler said the purchase would bring "a new area of expertise" to the company's capabilities.

"This is an exciting acquisition for us, and a great way to start 2012," he said. "In Williams McKinley we have a team of experienced, committed and acknowledged experts in SAP consulting which will neatly complement our portfolio of specialist divisions such as testing and QA, technical architecture, health service and analytics within our IT skills coverage."

Epsom's E-Resourcing was advised by Ryecroft Glenton Corporate Finance’s director Carl Swansbury.

The corporate finance firm also advised the shareholders on securing investment needed to fund the acquisition from Santander Corporate Banking in Gatwick.

Swansbury said: "E-Resourcing is an ambitious company with extremely high standards, and it has achieved a great result in acquiring Williams McKinley. There are significant synergies between the two companies, and the acquisition will enable the combined group to become a stronger force in the IT and telecoms staffing markets both in the UK and Internationally."

Williams McKinley was advised by corporate financiers Richard Shaw and Marcus Archer of Clearwater Corporate Finance.

Marcus Archer, partner at Clearwater, said: "Williams McKinley is an excellent brand in the SAP recruitment and consultancy market and is renowned for its integrity and client service.

"The sale to E-Resourcing enables a good exit for the founding shareholders and enables the company to continue to grow its impressive client base by benefiting from additional resources within the E-Resourcing group."
