The Care Division (TCD), which is based in Southampton and Poole, has received a £2.25m investment from private equity firm Altitude Partners.

TCD provides supported living service for adults with learning disabilities – helping them to live in the community.

Stephen Piper, managing director of TCD, said: "We are enjoying rapid growth as more people are choosing to move into their own accommodation and we provide both transition and ongoing 24/7 support in this special time for them. Altitude's support and backing allows us to continue to supply the best service for these clients and invest in developing our services further."

According to Altitude Partners, the funding has allowed the domiciliary care provider to restructure its shareholder base and to invest in new technology.

Altitude Partners is investing between £500,000 and £3m into a portfolio of established regional businesses. The company said it planned to invest in companies to enable organic growth, growth through acquisition and to help existing management teams undertake management buyouts.
