Insider International Trade Awards shortlist revealed

Twenty-nine companies from across the North West are set to battle it out at Insider's second annual International Trade Awards.

We can reveal the shortlist today (8 October 2012) of the contenders aiming for glory at the ceremony which celebrates the success of companies involved with overseas trade and those international businesses investing in the North West.

The award categories cover sectors such as media and creative, chemicals and pharmaceuticals and person/team of the year.

It comes as overseas trade is now one of the fastest growing areas of focus for businesses looking at new markets and growth opportunities.

Among last year's winners were Vimto manufacturer Nichols, which took the consumer category, and marketing agency BDB, named top media company.

The 2012 event takes place at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 6 December 2012.
