Share | |

DCT Civil Engineering has won a £6m contract from United Utilities.

The Oldham-based company has been appointed to design and build a wastewater pumping station at Bewsey Bridge in Warrington.

The company was one of four organisations that tendered for the contract, which is part of a £10m investment programme by United Utilities to improve the pumping station.

A report submitted in 2010 found that more than 2,000 homes in Warrington were at risk of flooding and problems with the existing Bewsey pumping station have also been highlighted.

DCT was founded in 1980 and reports a turnover of more than £40m. The company has previously worked with clients including Aldi, the Trafford Centre and Liverpool City Council.
