Peel appoints programme director
Peel Ports has appointed a programme director for its £250m container terminal project.
The company is to build an in-river terminal at the Port of Liverpool and Douglas Coleman has been appointed to head up this project and a number of other schemes on the Manchester Ship Canal.
Coleman was formerly project director at Forth Port and prior to that was Scottish regional director at Capita.
Coleman said: "There is no doubt that the new container terminal will represent a transformational project for the business. By any standard it is a significant development and a major investment."
Peel Ports managing director Gary Hodgson said: "This is a key time for the Peel Ports Group, with exciting developments to come, and I know we have made a strong appointment."
