Elite connects with £5m deal

Share | |

Lancashire business telecoms specialist Elite Telecom has taken over a London company for £4.9m.

The Buckshaw Village-based company has snapped up GPNS in a bid to increase revenue by £3.5m and gain more than 275 new London-based customers.

The takeover is set to add 15 members of staff to Elite's team and "provide opportunities for further recruitment", the business said.

GPNS specialises in providing telecoms solutions to businesses which work across various sites.

Chief executive Matt Newing said: "This latest acquisition is a real anchor for our growth plans for the coming 12 months, which will see Elite continue to increase its prominence in the UK business telecoms industry.

"Small, high quality telecoms companies like GPNS will add real value to our current services."

Elite was represented in the deal by Gareth McIntegart from corporate law firm DWF.
