North West directors scoop IoD prizes
Directors from across the region have been recognised at the annual Institute of Directors (IoD) North West Director of the Year Awards. The North West Director of the Year and Young Director of the Year awards went to Manchester-based professionals.
The prizes were presented at the Hilton in Manchester last night and were hosted by broadcaster Nicholas Owen.
Phil Jones, sales and marketing director of Brother UK, won the North West Director of the Year award, while Fajer Rabia, founder of Inspired Sisters, won the Young Director of the Year Award.
Ann Jordan, regional chair for the IoD in the North West, said: "It is still a tough economic environment, and the calibre of businesses and individual directors in this year’s shortlist are great examples of the type of businesses that are driving the recovery, not only in this region, but across the UK, and further abroad."
