Creative Concern to foster care project
Creative Concern, the Manchester communications agency, has won a contract to market foster care on behalf of a partnership of 23 local authorities in the North West. The win follows a competitive tender involving 35 other agencies.
The agency has been charged with creating a standalone identity for the campaign that must be independent of fostering agencies and local council brands. It will produce a TV commercial, design and build a website and provide PR support for launch and beyond.
Judith Longhill, chairman of the North West local authority fostering group, said: “This is a really exciting project for local authorities in the North West, as it’s the first time we’ve collaborated on a project of this scale. We’re looking forward to working with the agency and getting the campaign rolled out.”
There is currently thought to be a shortfall of more than 8,000 foster carers in England. Chris Dessent, the managing director of Creative Concern, said the agency’s campaign would reflect the “benefits and flexibility” of fostering.
