MSoft wins healthcare deals
Healthcare technology specialist MSoft, which is based at Ellesmere Port, has won a series of contracts to provide blood tracking security systems to hospitals.
It has been working with the blood bank team at the Royal Liverpool Hospital to develop the programme, which provides an in-depth audit of blood throughout the transfusion process in order to get the “right blood into the right patient”.
The technology will now be rolled out to other Merseyside hospitals including Broadgreen, Liverpool Women’s, Alder Hey, The Walton Centre and Aintree.
MSoft has also won a contract to supply the Countess of Chester Hospital with a biometric fingerprint device which controls access to blood and is also working with Lincoln Hospital to supply the country’s first chip and pin blood tracking system, which is designed to blood transfusion patient safety.
