Alnorthumbria Veterinary practice has secured funding for growth from Barclays Corporate.

The practice, which has nine centres across the North East, has used the money to develop Fairmoor Equine Clinic in newly-acquired buildings adjacent to the existing Fairmoor surgery in Morpeth.

With five equine vets, the clinic provides diagnostic, surgical, hospitalisation and recuperation facilities to equine clients across the North East and Scottish borders.

Lesley Barwise-Munro, equine partner at the practice, said: "The purchase and development of the new equine clinic at Fairmoor has been major investment for the practice and it's great that we've been able to secure funding from Barclays Corporate.

"We're now able to offer access to some of the best equine care across the north and this development is another example of the partners’ passion and commitment to providing quality care for our clients."

The veterinary practice is also investing in its existing Wagonway Road site in Alnwick. It is anticipated that the newly refurbished site will open in autumn 2012.
