Trailer-Lift takes off
Teesside’s Trailer-Lift is planning to quadruple its turnover in three years as it targets the global market.
The company, which is part of the MMC Group, spent three years working on the design and development of its TrailerLift, which combines a trailer and vehicle lift in one product.
Working with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), Trailer-Lift took part in the Automechanika exhibition in Frankfurt last year in a bid to win international clients.
The company has now appointed distributors in the USA, Japan, Australia, Finland and the Czech Republic and is in talks with others in India, Nigeria, South Africa, New Zealand, the UAE and Hungary.
Trailer-Lift also exhibited at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas – the world’s largest automotive speciality products trade event – where the Trailerlift was chosen from more than 2,000 products to win the Global Media Award for innovation and potential market demand.
The company plans to grow its turnover from £750,000 in its first year to £3.3m in year three, with an operating profit of around £500,000.
