Vince Cable to speak at UKIBC

Business secretary Vince Cable has been confirmed to speak at this year's UK India Business Council's annual summit.

Cable will address more than 500 businesses at the UK India Business Council Annual Networking Summit which will focus on market entry and expansion strategies for India.

The one-day event, which will take place on 14 March 2012 at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, is now in its second year in the North after relocating away from the South East.

Tata Consultancy Services chief executive Natarajan Chandrasekaran will give a keynote speech at the summit to highlight the opportunities available for UK businesses in India.

Patricia Hewitt, chairman of UK India Business Council, Rolls-Royce's Indian President Anil Srikhande and Lord Bilimoria, the founder and chairman of Cobra Beer are among the speakers confirmed for the event.

Representatives from companies such as Bournville College, Pizza Express, Pearson, Grant Instruments and Clansmen Dynamics will also be speaking at the summit.
