A bus company with operations in the East Midlands and in Yorkshire has been acquired by Sunderland-headquartered transport giant Arriva.
Arriva's joint venture partners in Centrebus (Holdings) Ltd, which was formed in 2008 and operates 152 vehicles and employs 360 staff, have decided to exit making Arriva the sole operator of the business.
The business operates in Hinckley and West Yorkshire. The operations in Hinckley will report into Arriva's Midlands region and the West Yorkshire operation will be led by business director Martijn Gilbert.
Arriva has confirmed it is business as usual for customers and employees, with no planned changes to fares and service levels or to day-to-day operations.
