Intelipac Paper Manufacturing has expanded with a move to a 22,000 sq ft unit at Parkhouse Industrial Estate in Newcastle-under-Lyme creating 60 jobs.

The Make it Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire inward investment service supported the relocation, helping find a shortlist of properties, as well as assisting the planning process and guiding the funding to support the move.

Intelipac, which is based in Warrington, provides packaging services to the retail and food manufacturing markets, with clients including Tesco, Asda and Marks & Spencer.

The company is looking to expand the business and recruit 30 staff by the end of this month (February 2013), with further recruitment over the course of the next 12 months totalling 60 jobs.

"Our company is expanding and North Staffordshire is the perfect place to do that, thanks to the good opportunities sites and workforce available in the area," Intelipac director Duncan Edwards said.

"We are looking forward to recruiting more staff before the end of the financial year."

Councillor Mark Meredith, Stoke-on-Trent City Council cabinet member for economic development, added: "Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire is an area open for business.

"It's great news that Intelipac is locating in this area. It is another success story for the inward investment team which works in partnership across the authorities to encourage investment, creating jobs and prosperity."
