Cobbetts advises on Welsh homes deal
The Birmingham
office of law firm Cobbetts has advised social landlord, Tai Ceredigion, on the
transfer of 2,230 homes previously owned by Ceredigion County Council.
Following the transfer, Tai Ceredigion will undertake a substantial investment
programme over the next 30 years, facilitated by more than £48m funding from
the Welsh Assembly Government and more than £35m private finance provided by
Barclays Bank. Acting for Cobbetts was Hugo Stephens, housing and regeneration
partner, and director David Isaacson. Trowers and Hamlins acted for Ceredigion
County Council and Addleshaw Goddard acted for Barclays Bank.
