Closures opens in Mansfield

Share | |
One of the UK's largest manufacturers of plastic packaging for the dairy industry is building a major factory in Mansfield, which will lead to the creation of 38 jobs. Closures, which has been based at Hamilton Way in Oakham Business Park since 2003, currently employs 45 staff to produce containers and caps for dairy products for leading supermarkets across the country. Contractor Burrell Construction is building the 30,000 sq ft unit, which will provide additional space for production and warehousing, as well as offices for the expanding business. The new factory, which is set to open this month, has been financed by Yorkshire Bank's Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in Nottingham. Tony Jurkiw, who founded Closures with Peter Acres, said the company would be recruiting technicians, warehouse personnel, factory operatives and office administrators.
