Carillion moves up the rankings
Wolverhampton's Carillion is the second-largest construction company in the UK, according to a survey by business advisory firm Deloitte. It is one of only three UK listings in the top 20 of Deloitte's European Top 100 Construction Companies ranking. Carillion is listed in 12th position in the European rankings, up three places from last year. It is just ahead of 15th-placed Laing O'Rourke, but behind sixth-placed Balfour Beatty, the only UK company to make it into the top ten. Carillion has today announced a five-year, £360m contract with the city of Toronto to revitalise the city's Union Station.
