Big name tenants sign up to Highcross
Retailers including Pizza Express and Midlands Business Insider's Growth 100 winner Patisserie Valerie are set to open in Leicester's Highcross shopping centre.
Patisserie Valerie, Aunty Anne's Pretzels, Pizza Express have all agreed leases on outlets in the centre, while Millies Cookies has taken its second unit.
Handmade cake and gateaux maker Patisserie Valerie – which topped Insider's fastest growing Midlands businesses chart - will also open at Highcross in March. Aunty Anne's Pretzel kiosk is set to open during the second quarter of the year.
Work has already begun on the site to be occupied by Pizza Express in St Peter's Square, with the restaurant expected to open in April.
In addition, fashion chain Simply Be will open on the lower mall on 29 March as it expands its online presence onto the high street.
Jo Tallack, Highcross' general manager, said: "We're constantly looking at ways to strengthen Highcross' offering, and we’re really pleased to announce that several new brands to the city - Simply Be, Patisserie Valerie and Aunty Anne's Pretzels - will be adding to the centre’s retail mix during 2012."
