Flogas snaps up UFW
Syston-based Flogas has acquired Blaby energy company UFW for an undisclosed sum.
Flogas, which is owned by DCC Energy - the Dublin-based oil and liquefied petroleum gas company, will now expand its services to customers to include solar technologies, heat pumps, under-floor heating and rain-water harvesting systems.
UFW will continue to operate under its existing name, with managing director Nigel Parkes and commercial director Tony Fitzwilliams remaining to develop the business.
"We are delighted to welcome UFW to our team. At Flogas we are committed to meeting the needs of our customers and we are continually looking for new ways to offer more," said Lee Gannon, Flogas sales and marketing director.
"The number of customers requesting energy efficient systems for commercial buildings as well as homes has been increasing and this acquisition is a direct response to this growing demand."
UFW managing director Nigel Parkes added: "We are delighted to grow and develop our business under this new ownership. We look forward to seeking new opportunities by working with Flogas."
