Building on success at WMCE Awards 2012

Share | |

The deadline for this year's West Midlands Constructing Excellence Awards 2012, held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham, is approaching.

Categories span the construction sector with awards recognising best practice in innovation, value, sustainability and collaboration, as well as a prize to recognise the importance of small businesses operating in the sector.

This year, Midlands Business Insider is an official media partner for the awards scheme.

Phil Wilson, executive director at the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence, said: "Against a challenging economic backdrop, all businesses operating in the construction sector cannot afford not to boost their profile and demonstrate their capabilities.

"Winning one of these high-profile awards presents enormous opportunities for organisations to demonstrate that they are industry leaders, helping them to attract new clients, nurture existing relationships and retain the best staff."

Award winners in the West Midlands region will automatically qualify for entry into the National Constructing Excellence Awards.

The awards, which will be presented on Friday 6 July 2012 at the ICC, is co-hosted by Birmingham City Council's building consultancy service, the Chartered Institute of Building's West Midlands branch and the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence.

The event will incorporate Birmingham City Council's Built in Quality Awards and the WMCCE Constructing Excellence Awards.

The closing date for West Midlands Constructing Excellence Awards 2012 entries is 29 February 2012. To enter the awards, request an application form from wmcceawards2012@btinternet.com.
