Hammonds Furniture Group opens new showroom
Hinckley-based Hammonds Furniture Group has opened a new 1,300 sq ft showroom at Peterborough Garden Park.
The fitted furniture specialist has more than 70 showrooms across the country, as well as a presence in another 60 retailers operating as concessions.
The new showroom is the first of 2012, with another five planned by the end of the year.
Richard Hammonds, chairman and grandson of Hammonds' founder, said: "We see huge potential for Peterborough and this is a fantastic retail park. Our customers are looking for a quality lifestyle shopping experience and that is just what Peterborough Garden Park offers."
Hammonds works in partnership with the Woodland Trust, planting a tree for every bedroom they fit.
Since the partnership began in 2004, Hammonds has planted more than 28,000 trees and raised more than £300,000 for the charity.

Pre-tax profits dropped to £551,000 for 2011, compared with £1.5m the year before.
