Pinsent Masons and McGrigors confirm merger
Law firms Pinsent Masons, which has a Birmingham office, and McGrigors have confirmed their merger plans following a partner vote.
The newly formed business will operate under the Pinsent Masons name and brand and will employ more than. 2,500 staff, including about 1,500 lawyers.

Richard Masters, managing partner at McGrigors, said: "We believe that the new firm will provide a solid platform for growth, allowing us to become a clear market-leader in strategically key sectors."
The business plans on extending its international presence with offices in France and Germany expected to launch in 2012.
