RSM Tenon opens new Leicester base

Accountancy firm RSM Tenon is set to move its two current Leicester sites into a new base in the city today (6 February).

The company's two offices in Bede Island and Harborough Road have been consolidated into one at Rivermead House in Grove Park.

There will be 135 staff working at the new office south west of Leicester city centre.

Managing director Chris Darlington said: "We have been looking for a suitable location to house both Leicester offices of RSM Tenon. We needed to find a base which would accommodate our growing workforce.

"Rivermead House is a modern building, constructed less than four years ago with excellent access and extensive parking, which is important to both our clients and our people. This move is a key part of our overall strategy, to combine both our existing offices and benefit from the opportunity of a, full service, single Leicester office of real scale.

"We see this development as a platform for further growth in the region – and further evidence of our ongoing commitment to the Leicester business community."

Chairman Bob Morton and chief executive officer Andy Raynor stepped down from their positions, with deputy chairman Adrian Martin taking on the role of executive chairman, in January.

The company said it will post a 10 per cent fall in revenue in the six months to 31 December 2011 compared to the same period last year.
