Waldeck appoints new MD
Waldeck Engineering, based in Lincoln, has appointed a new managing director.
Fraser Mercer joins the engineering company with 30 years' experience in design, project management, contracts, construction, business growth and management.
Prior to his appointment as managing director, Mercer held a consultancy role with Waldeck to assist and support the company's management team.
He previously directed regional contracting business Frank Haslam Milan which he helped grow turnover to exceed £100m.
Waldeck said Mercer brings with him "a considerable network" of contacts and clients, particularly from the West Midlands region.
Founder and director Paul Waldeck will now focus on key customer relationships, strategy and growth in all areas of the business.
He added: "2011 has been the toughest year for the construction industry to date, but Waldeck has continued to prosper thanks to the hard work and commitment of our staff and our innovative approach to engineering.
"The recession has brought and will continue to bring about rigorous change in what the market needs. New firms are evolving and whilst traditional consultancies will always have a place, the most successful professional support services companies will be solutions-focused businesses with a diversity of skills and the expertise to deliver the client vision."
