Former Nottingham school site goes to market
Developers are being sought for a 100-year-old Nottingham school building and nearby residential land which have been put on the market.
Property agency Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has been instructed to market the former Eastwood school buildings, located on 1.14 acres of land in Eastwood by Nottinghamshire County Council.
Pupils moved to the newly-built Eastwood Primary School this term.
The company is also marketing 1.57 acres of residential land in Church Street, Eastwood, next to the site of the new school.
The two-storey former school on Devonshire Drive, Eastwood, was first opened in 1910. It also has a nursery building and playground in the town centre conservation area.
Sean Bremner, director in LSH's Nottingham office said: "The former Eastwood School is an impressive building which, with sympathetic design and adaption, has potential for residential purposes, maybe targeting the assisted home sector.
"The land on Church Street offers an alternative opportunity for private housing and we have received good initial interest."
