Engine contract win for Newburgh
Newburgh Engineering has secured a contract with Perkins Engines Company after completing previous jobs for the manufacturer at its Bradwell site.
Newburgh’s founding site, based in Bradwell, had previously worked on smaller contracts for Perkins. Building on that relationship, Newburgh’s Rotherham site has now won the contract to produce engine components after completing Perkins’ supplier tendering process.
Commercial manager Matthew Jewitt said: "As a supplier of high precision components to the rail industry for many decades, Newburgh Engineering has the expertise and manufacturing capability to produce high quality engine components."
Established in Peterborough in 1932 by engineer Frank Perkins, Caterpillar subsidiary Perkins Engines Company is now one of the world’s leading supplier of off-highway diesel and gas engines.
