Shakespeares appoints partner
Law firm Shakespeares has appointed Shelley Harcourt as partner to lead its employment team in Nottingham.
With more than 12 years' experience practising employment law, Harcourt has moved to the company from Eversheds, where she worked for ten years.
She will advise clients at Shakespeares in the public and private sectors on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law and in her specialist fields of equal pay and discrimination.
She also has expertise in providing strategic legal advice to employers during corporate and organisational restructurings.
Harcourt said: "It is great to be leading an expanding employment law team in the East Midlands and the firm is really investing in this important area of legal advice, which is so sought after by local employers."
Duncan James, corporate services partner at Shakespeares' Nottingham office, said: "It is great to have Shelley on board. Her arrival is the latest in a series of key appointments at the firm's Nottingham office and we are looking forward to continuing to strengthen our local expertise in the year ahead."
