GVA appointed to sell Beetham assets
GVA has been appointed to sell the 999-year lease of the Radisson BluHotel in Birmingham following the administration of its owner Beetham Hotels Birmingham.
Paul Flint, Brian Green and Mark Orton from KPMG appointed joint administrators to Liverpool-headquartered Beetham Hotels Birmingham on 2 December 2011. The administrative process regarding the company is purely in respect of the financial obligations of the leasehold owner.
Ian Stringer, regional senior director at GVA's Birmingham office, said: "Interest has already started to build – both nationally and internationally – highlighting the significance of this high-profile investment opportunity."
James Williamson, director at GVA Humberts Leisure, added: "One of the many attractions of acquiring the 999-year leasehold interest of the Radisson BluHotel is due to it forming part of the iconic Beetham Tower skyscraper building that is only six-years-old."
