Farrow & Ball opens in Solihull

Paint and wallpaper company Farrow & Ball has opened a showroom in Mell Square, Solihull.

The Dorset-based traditional paint manufacturer has taken a 900 sq ft store on a ten-year lease.

Rob Alston, retail partner at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "The letting is a huge coup for Mell Square, which is continuing to attract niche independent retailers, despite the recession.

"Farrow & Ball is precisely the sort of quality retailer that we have been looking to attract. The store complements some of the recent lettings that we have seen there, including Aspire Style, Walnut & Weave, and Edinburgh Woollen Mill, who only opened at the end of last year.

"Occupancy rates at Mell Square are very good, and Solihull is holding up a lot better than most towns in the present climate."

Farrow & Ball is based in Wimborne Minster, and was founded in the 1930s.
