Broadway Casino undergoes refurb
Broadway Casino in Birmingham has started work on a refurbishment project which may create new jobs.
Located on the original Birmingham Children's Hospital site at Broadway Plaza the refurbishment is set to add to the casino's existing facilities, creating a private room available for conferencing, corporate entertainment and private party hire.
The new event space will have access to the main casino, as well as its own private entrance and reception area.
Managing director Denis Dowling said: "We have been busy planning these changes to the Broadway for some time and are delighted that the work has now started on this significant refurbishment.
"Since opening in 2005 we have been most fortunate to establish a loyal and regular customer base and with event bookings increasing year on year the new facilities will enable us to meet the demand with this designated event area."
The refurbishment is set to be finished in April and will provide "employment opportunities", Broadway added.
