Managing director appointed to Baggaley Construction
Mansfield-based Baggaley Construction has appointed Phil Askin as managing director.
Askin, who joined the company as commercial director in January 2011, has taken over the role fromIan Baggaley.
The former managing director, after six years in the post, succeeds his father as chairman of Baggaley Group.
Askin, a chartered quantity surveyor and a graduate of Nottingham Trent University, trained at John Laing and developed his career with Wates Construction.
He said: "Baggaley Construction is the epitome of a well-run, family owned regional contractor as it consistently delivers quality and value for its clients.
"I believe there's a great opportunity to capitalise on the company's strong reputation in both the private and public sectors and I am excited to be in a position to help deliver the next part of its growth plans."
Baggaley Construction employs more than 130 staff and has turnover of £50m.
The company is part of a number of framework agreements, including East Midlands Property Alliance, YORbuild (the Yorkshire Regional Framework), and the Repair and Maintenance Framework for District of North West Leicestershire and Borough of Charnwood, Leicestershire County Council and Sport England.
