£2m refurb for Embassy House

Embassy House has undergone a £2m refurbishment to provide grade A office space in Birmingham city centre.

The period-fronted building in the city's business district, on the corner of Church Street and Cornwall Street, was constructed in 1899 by architect Owen & Ward.

Major work to the reception and communal areas and an upgrade of all vacant office accommodation took place as part of the refurbishment, with the original period facade of the building retained.

Matt Long, of DTZ, said: "With the well documented shortage of grade A office space in Birmingham city centre and speculative development still some way off, Embassy House is now able to offer high-quality accommodation with an unrivalled location in the heart of the city's financial and professional services quarter."

DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle are joint letting agents on the building on behalf of the landlord, AXA Real Estate Investment Managers.
