Reeves is the joint founder and managing partner of Clearwater Corporate Finance, which has an office in Nottingham, and will now take on a four-year term advising IMAP on its strategic development.
As part of his specific responsibilities, he has also been appointed chairman of the international advisory board.
Reeves, who has worked in mid-market corporate finance and restructuring for more than 25 years, will also continue in his role at Clearwater, which is a partner with IMAP.
Reeves said: "It is an honour to have been selected to chair IMAP's advisory committee and have the opportunity to play an integral part in the future of one of the largest M&A networks in the world."
